Big Idea: Jesus’ supernatural healing ministry shows who he is as the Servant-King who came to free us from sin and the consequences of sin.
1. Jesus Heals Peter’s Mother-in-Law [Mt. 8:14–15]
- The Case [Mt. 8:14]
- The Cure [Mt. 8:15]
- How It was Effected (“He touched her”)
- How It was Evidenced (“She began to serve him”)
2. Jesus Heals Many [Mt. 8:16]
- Jesus’ Healing is Diverse in Its Application [Mt. 8:16]
- “He drove out the spirits with a word.”
- “He healed all who were sick.”
- Jesus’ Healing is Unlimited in Its Power [Mt. 8:16]
