At 10:30am we hold our Sunday morning service, where we gather for about an hour and a half to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, offer prayers of praise, confession, and intercession to God, hear God’s Word read and preached, and observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper (once every other month). We are a family-friendly church and children are more than welcome to stay in for the service, though we provide nursery care for children ages 0–2 as well. Parents should be able to check kids in beginning at 10:15am. Preaching at FBC is generally expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the point of a particular biblical passage. All preaching is driven by the gospel, the Bible’s main message of God saving sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We sing a hymn encapsulating the theme of the sermon and then receive a benediction (a good word from God’s Word) to end the service with God’s blessing. We often stay around to fellowship with one another after the service for our fellowship meal and sermon Q&A.
